AFTER CHAMBI (2010-2012)
In this series I re-photograph Martin Chambi's original images using projection, long exposures, sculptural interventions, and a view camera. I'm interested in the complexities of Martin Chambi's work as a counter-ethnographic study of Peru's indigenous peoples and the failure of the photograph as impartial witness.
